Reading High School Girls Basketball on a Hot Streak
The Reading High School Girls Varsity Basketball team continued their hot streak last night as they defeated Belmont at home by a score of 57-32. Leading the winning effort was AE’s Carlene Kluge, who scored 21 points in the win, while freshman Olivia Healy added 18 points.
This came after a decisive win last Friday over Lexington on the road by a score of 52-38. In that game, AE’s Olivia Healy scored a team-high20 points while other AE standouts Carlene Kluge, Grace Starble, Morgan O’Brien, Desh Perera, Katie Clements, Amanda Flower, and Dana Powersall chipped in to help their team secure the victory. The Reading Girls Varsity Basketball team improved their league record to 6-1, good for third place in the Middlesex League,with a big matchup set for Wednesday night on the road against Woburn.
