Speed Development
Our speed development program is held in a 1-on-1 setting or in a small group of no more than 5 athletes. This 1 hour program is solely dedicated to movement training. Our goal during each session is to learn the fundamentals of running.
Our focus will be on all aspects of SPEED DEVELOPMENT:
SPEED - POWER - STRENGTH - EXPLOSION - ACCELERATION - TRANSITION - SPEED ENDURANCE - MAXIMUM VELOCITY - SPEED MAINTENANCE - FINISHING
The Two Components of Speed are:
- STRIDE LENGTH
- STRIDE FREQUENCY
STRIDE LENGTH
Learning how to increase our stride length by becoming a more explosive athlete. Increasing our vertical jump and our broad jump are the fastest way to increase our exploisveness which in turn will increase our stide length.
STRIDE FREQUENCY
Reduce ground contact time via proper mechanics, sprint strength and speed mechanics. The fastest way to increase stride frequency is to have perfect full arm action.
All of our participants will improve their linear and lateral speed, their ability to change direction, and their ability to maintain their top speed (speed endurance) for an extended period of time.
