AE’s Lorenzo Papa Featured on ESPN Boston

ESPN Boston recently interviewed Lorenzo Papa after a workout at AE and included him in their Player Perspective featured article. Coming off a stellar junior baseball season this past spring, where he hit .543 with 9 home runs and 48 RBI, Papa explains how he has become so successful through his training regimen at AE. As he heads into his junior year at Arlington Catholic, Papa has already committed to attend the University of Rhode Island where he will play baseball.

St. John’s Prep 2-sport star Pat Connaughton, one of our consistent standout performers here at AE, was recently featured in an article by ESPN Boston where he discusses his busy summer schedule as various Division I schools compete to recruit him in both basketball and baseball. ALL-SCHOLASTICS

BASEBALL

Will Marcal

Lexington, Junior, P
The Middlesex League MVP went 8-0 with a 1.51 ERA and 81 strikeouts in 59 innings. The junior southpaw also hit .440 with six homers and 37 RBIs for the league champs. A two-time league all-star, Marcal hopes to play in college.

LACROSSE

Lauren Sullivan

Winchester, Senior
Sullivan fell six goals shy of the century mark this season and tallied 38 assists to finish her career as one of the top scorers in the state (237 goals, 81 assists). The All-American helped the Sachems to the Division 2 North title and looks to continue her play at Notre Dame.

Sara Hennessey

Winchester, Senior
Hennessey helped lead the Sachems to the Division 2 North title by scoring 67 goals and adding 32 assists. The honorable mention All-American and first-team EMass Coaches and Middlesex League all-star will play lacrosse at Holy Cross next spring.
