4 WEEK FALL PRESEASON TRAINING PROGRAM

August 2nd through August 26th

Did you miss the boat this summer and now you’re panicking because you’re not ready for your high school fall sport?  Did vacation or other commitments keep you from really preparing yourself for the upcoming season?  If so then it’s not too late to get something out of this summer and Athletic Evolution has a program just for you!

For the first time ever, we are offering a Fall Preseason Prep Training program to help those athletes who did not get what they wanted out of the summer.  These workouts will be run in an intense, captains’ practice-like atmosphere where we will make sure you are ready to go in the four weeks leading up to tryouts.  Take advantage of AE’s 30,000 square foot one-of-a-kind facility, our expert training staff, and our groundbreaking Nike SPARQ Training methods to salvage the rest of the summer.  Just 90 minutes a day, four days a week will whip you into shape!


          PROGRAM DETAILS

                        When:  August 2nd – August 26th (4 weeks)

                      Monday-Thursday – 5:00pm-6:30pm

Cost: $60/week

      SPARQ Training – 45 minutes

 Focuses on improving speed, agility, explosiveness, and conditioning 

      Flexibility & Strength – 45 minutes

 Targeted stretching and core strengthening exercises to prepare your body for the upcoming season 

 Limits the risk of injury during the season

HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL PRESEASON TRAINING PROGRAM

     Start preparing for your basketball season this fall! Athletic Evolution, AE, in conjunction with NIKE SPARQ Training, is offering a unique basketball program this fall that combines off-court NIKE SPARQ Training to improve speed, agility, explosiveness, and conditioning, with on-court skill development to make sure you are fully prepared for your high school basketball season this winter.  This intense program will give high school basketball players the workout regimen that they have been looking for to take their game to the next level.  Take advantage of this one of a kind opportunity to get a leg up on the competition and enter tryouts a step above everyone else!  Through AE’s use of the groundbreaking SPARQ Training methods, along with high-level basketball skills instruction, you will give yourself the best chance possible to make a great impression with your coaches.

Take the 5,000 Puck Touch Challenge!

Athletic Evolution, Valerie Bono and Seven Hockey are proud to announce a new groundbreaking on-ice/off-ice hockey training program this summer where each player is guaranteed to get 5,000 puck touches over the course of 4 weeks.  Designed after the European model, which consists of less time playing games and more time developing skills and improving speed, agility and strength, this new program will give each player the total hockey experience that they need to improve this offseason and get a step ahead of the competition!

On-Ice Training 

  • Each workout consists of one hour of intense skill development designed after the European model
  • Skills covered will include: puck touches & shooting, positional power & scoring, quick feet & stick handling, agility & technique
  • Fast-paced workouts force quick decisions with the puck and ensure an intense workout
  • Smaller ice surface brings players out of their comfort zone and leads to raised skill level and quickness in all movements and shots
  • Repetition, repetition, repetition – specific skills will become second nature

 About Valerie Bono & Seven Hockey

     The on-ice component of the program will be run by Seven Hockey, which is led by Head Hockey Coach Valerie Bono.  After an outstanding high school and college ice hockey career at Cushing Academy and Providence College, Valerie focused her career on improving athletic performance on and off the ice for hockey players of all ages and skill levels.  Valerie learned of her love of coaching while being a member of the National Ice hockey Program throughout her high school and college career.

      Valerie is a Certified Level 5 Master coach with USA Hockey and has trained thousands of local athletes of various ages and abilities.  She is currently mentoring dozens of coaches throughout Massachusetts under the USA Hockey guidelines in hopes of creating a universal coaching strategy and tactical system.  Valerie has influenced female hockey players to reach their highest potential at the Varsity level in Burlington, Arlington, Charlestown & Cambridge.  She also brings a tremendous amount of enthusiasm and passion to the youth level as she dedicates her time and knowledge to the East Coast Wizards and Burlington Youth Hockey Programs for both boys and girls.

 

Off-Ice Training 

  • AE expert trainers will lead players in the latest training techniques - NIKE SPARQ Training – to improve each player’s speed, agility, explosiveness, strength and flexibility
  • Workouts will take place either one hour before or one hour after on-ice workouts, depending upon the specific day
  • Emphasis on lateral speed, first step quickness, balance and explosiveness
  • Hockey-specific exercises will simulate in-game movements – i.e. resistance bands, slide boards, Russian boxes

Mission: Lax Programs Starting Now!

Are you looking for a place to improve your lacrosse skills and get ready for the upcoming spring season?  Well look no more, because AE’s Mission: Lax programs can meet the needs of players of all ages and skill levels.  With our indoor turf field, expert lacrosse instructors, and experienced strength and conditioning coaches, AE has all that you need to prepare for tryouts in a few weeks!  


Spring 2010 Pre-Season Lax

February Break Clinics

Take advantage of your time off from school to make yourself better and start getting ready for the spring season.  AE offers a two day clinic on Tuesday, February 15th and Wednesday, February 16th for both 15U and 19U athletes.  The program will focus on improving each player’s skills and will include – individual techniques and position specific instruction; team concepts; attack and defense game strategies; small sided games and competitions.

Open Girls Lacrosse Clinic

Every Sunday from 1:30-2:30pm, Trina runs an open clinic for high school girls lacrosse players interested in taking their game to the next level.  The clinics are run in a practice format and include specific work on – stick skills and fundamentals; dodging; ground balls; defensive positioning; and shooting technique.  For only $20 a day this is a deal that can’t be beat!

Teaming Up For The Community!

The Food Drive is ONLY 8 DAYS AWAY.  We have upped the ante and raised our goal to collecting over 5,000 lbs.  Please help us make that happen!

Athletic Evolution is holding a food drive on Saturday November 21st from 11:00am to 3:00pm!

Our goal is to collect 5,000lbs of non perishable foods!

All of the food collected will go to the Greater Boston Food Bank to benefit hungry families across eastern Massachusetts.  This is a wonderful opportunity to help those less fortunate in these difficult times.  I encourage you join in our efforts and make a difference in someone’s life today.

The Greater Boston Food Bank is New England’s largest hunger-relief organization and is working hard to help end hunger in eastern Massachusetts.  They distribute over 30 million pounds of food per year to more than 600 hunger relief agencies throughout eastern Massachusetts. 

Any middle school or high school athlete who brings over 40lbs of canned food to the event will receive a 50% coupon for any non-summer athletic enhancement program.
