Being a member of the AE Nike Baseball/Softball Factory not only guarantees that you will be prepared unlike any other baseball or softball player in this area for your upcoming season, but it also allows you to take advantage of all of the programs that AE has to offer both inseason and during the offseason.

Long Toss Program

AE’s Long Toss program runs each winter starting right after the new year for a period of 10 weeks.  This throwing program is for high school baseball players only and typically takes place on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.  The program is designed after similar Major League Baseball throwing programs and will consist of learning how to throw by teaching and implementing correct fundamentals, shoulder strengthening exercises, plyometrics, and core strengthening exercises all designed to guarantee each player with the following results:

  • Increased velocity
  • Improved off-speed pitches
  • Improved accuracy
  • Injury prevention
  • Maximize potential

Hitting & Pitching Lessons

AE works with several reputable baseball and softball instructors who utilize our facilities to run private hitting and pitching lessons for players of all ages and skill levels.  Private lessons can be either 30 minutes or 60 minutes in length and are tailored specifically to each player’s specific needs and requests.  All of our instructors work tirelessly to help you take your game to the next level and prepare yourself for your season!

Keith Forbes

Keith is a local resident from Malden, MA, who works with many up-and-coming young pitchers and hitters in New England.  Keith currently runs the Scorpions Baseball Club, one of the premier AAU programs in New England, where he applies his passion for the game towards coaching young players in every aspect of baseball development.  As a player, Keith was was awarded a full scholarship in 1996 to play baseball at Division I Troy State University, where, from 1997-1998, he went 9-2 as a starter with a 3.28 ERA.  His pitching success in college led him to be drafted in teh 1998 Major League Draft by the San Diego Padres, where he spent five years in the organization.  In 2000, Keith led all minor league pitchers in appearances with 74 between the Single-A Rancho Cucamonga and the Double-A Mobile Bay Bears (Padres farm system), before being forced into early retirement due to injuries.  Over the years, Keith has been affiliated with several other professional, independent baseball leagues including the Quebec Capital of the Can Am League.  Keith conducts pitching and hitting lessons at AE on weeknights as well as weekends throughout the year.


Michelle (Greene) Morales

Michelle Morales is the Head Softball Coach at Emmanuel College.  Prior to joining the staff at Emmanuel, Michelle was an assistant coach at Emerson College and also an assistant coach at Woburn High School.  She has been coaching the Junior Olympic Tanner Pride Softball travel team for the past 6 years.  As a player, Morales was a four-year starting pitcher for the NCAA Division I Crusaders of Holy Cross and is currently second all-time in career strikeouts.  She was named to the Patriot League Honor Roll three times during her collegiate career.  Her playing background also included eight years of travel softball experience paying with the Woburn Tanner Pride ASA Junior Olympic Team and four years at Woburn High School, including being named MVP of her team 3 years in a row.  Michelle conducts private softball pitching lessons at Athletic Evolution, typically during the evenings and weekends.


Dave Kaloyanides

In addition to his role as the Director of Strength & Conditioning at AE, Dave has also been running private hitting lessons for baseball players in the area.  As a player, Dave started all four years at Division I Sacred Heart University, where he helped lead his team to the conference tournament in 2005 & 2006.  His team played in the NCAA College World Series Regional Tournament in 2006, where Dave batted .428 and was an integral part to his team’s success.  In his senior year Dave compiled the following impressive statistics – .317 batting average; .477 slugging percentage; .377 on base percentage; second on the team in home runs with 20; and first on the team in stolen bases with 20.  Prior to college Dave played at Reading Memorial High School where he earned All-League status as a senior and was a standout player throughout his career.


Alex O’Keefe

As a former college pitcher, Alex O’Keefe brings a wealth of knowledge to AE’s pitching programs.  Prior to joining AE, Alex worked as an assistant coach for the Auburn University baseball team as well as assistant coach for the baseball team at the University of South Carolina.  In his time at these schools Alex helped develop young pitchers by teaching proper pitching mechanics as well as strength training exercises to increase arm speed and endurance.  As a player, Alex pitched for three years as both a starter and reliever at Springfield College and prior to that he was a standout pitcher at Hingham High School and on the AAU baseball circuit, where he helped lead his team to three national championship tournaments.


Bill Reynolds

Over the last 20 years, Bill Reynolds has instructed baseball and softball players across all ages and skill levels – Little League, Babe Ruth, High School and College.  He focuses on teaching the proper mechanics involved with batting, fielding and throwing as well as the proper mental approach necessary to become a successful ballplayer.  Bill, a former three sport standout at Thompson Academy, worked for the Boston Police Department for 25 years from 1975-2000, when he retired due to on-duty injuries.  From 2001-2006 Bill worked as a baseball and softball instructor at Batter’s Alley in Woburn and he is very excited about the opportunity to run his private pitching, hitting and fielding lessons out of AE’s Woburn facility.


Cage Rentals

In addition to private lessons AE offers third party rentals for any of the above described amenities within the facility.  All rentals are done on a first come, first serve basis and cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance to avoid payment.  See below for pricing details.
