Youth FUNdamental Training
Athletic Evolution offers youths (ages 8-12) the opportunity to get a head start athletically and improve their general health. Aspiring athletes and all children will benefit greatly from the FUNdamental Training Program. Diabetes, asthma, sleep apnea, and learning disabilities can all stem from childhood obesity. It is never too early to enroll kids in a structured, competitive, and fun training program to teach the benefits of exercise. Our Youth FUNdamental Training Program is going to address several areas regarding the health and development of children. Our YFT program meets twice a week, for one hour a day. The FUNdamental Training Program will focus on three major components of exercise; weight training technique, speed and agility, and flexibility.
Weight Training Technique
- Teach proper technique of resistance training
- Using light resistance (i.e. bodyweight) the mind and body will learn to perform functional exercises correctly
- Begin to develop and increase muscle capability
Speed and Agility
- Teach proper running form to increase efficiency and speed
- Perform drills to develop quicker feet for lateral movements
- Focus on explosive power for start/stop activities
- Learn body control and coordination
Flexibility
- Teach proper stretching techniques
- Greater flexibility will increase speed and decrease the risk of injury
Our goal is simple. Instill enthusiasm in our kids while teaching the benefits of exercise and improving overall health, body composition, and each individual’s self-confidence.
