Erik Kaloyanides

After an outstanding high school and college football career at Reading Memorial High School and Syracuse University, Erik focused his career on improving athletic performance and health and wellness for people of all ages and abilities. Erik has personally trained over 35 local athletes whom he has helped receive Division 1 scholarships in football, hockey, lacrosse, soccer, and baseball.  Recently Erik had a local athlete sign a professional contract in each of the 4 major professional sports (NFL, NBA, MLB, and NHL) including Chris Shaw who was drafted in the 1st Round of the MLB draft.

Erik was selected in the past as one of 7 strength coaches to travel with NIKE and SPARQ to perform various speed and agility camps across the country. Erik is viewed as one of the nation’s leading NIKE SPARQ trainers. He was recently asked to travel across the country and speak at Keiser Power Summits on their behalf due to the work he has done using their products.

Over the past 4 years Erik has started and grown both an NFL and NBA combine training program; giving New England athletes an alternative to programs down south and out west.  Erik takes great pride and modeling his craft after his time with world respected speed coach Tom Shaw.  During the past 4 years Erik has been behind 14 signed NFL contracts and 2nd Round NBA draft pick, Pat Connaughton, who recorded the 2nd highest max touch ever recorded at the NBA combine.  Erik is a certified by the NSCA as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist.

Scott Duggan

Prior to joining Athletic Evolution, Scott led the Assumption College Football summer strength and conditioning program after completing three diverse internships. His internships included a private training facility, his Alma Mater, UMass, and working with the basketball, hockey, lacrosse and football teams, and time at Sports and Physical Therapy Associates. A former captain of Hudson High School’s football and ice hockey teams, Scott graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a degree in Kinesiology. During his college years, Scott was a member of the UMass Amherst football team and earned the UMass special teams “Player of the Year” in 2010 while starting at fullback.

Scott’s passion for strength and conditioning stems from years of pushing himself to attain his own athletic goals. He is dedicated to helping young, driven athletes accomplish their own athletic goals. Scott has worked with every type of athlete from Youth to the Pros, as well as adults. He prides himself on being able to adapt each workout to the individual needs and goals of each client.  Scott also assists Erik with the NFL and NBA combine programs each winter and spring after multiple seasons interning with him.  Together they saw over 14 athletes sign NFL contracts and 2 athletes get drafted.

Scott has recently become heavily involved with injury prevention and rehab. He takes pride in helping athletes come back from major injuries stronger and better than before.  In 2014 he formed a partnership between AE and the Micheli Center for Injury Prevention (division of Children’s hospital).  Over the past 3 years Scott has helped over 25 athletes return to their sport following ACL surgery.  Scott is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA and is a Level 1 Sports Performance Coach through USA Weightlifting.

Alexa Leclerc

Alexa currently heads our Youth Development Program which includes both Youth and Middle School groups. Alexa came to Athletic Evolution in the fall of 2012 as an intern through UMass Lowell’s Exercise Physiology Department. After her internship was complete, Alexa stayed at AE to join the staff full-time. She has worked as a Strength and Conditioning Coach for the last 4 years and specializes in children ages 5-15. In 2014 Alexa took over as Office Manager and is the backbone of AE’s day to day operations off the floor.

Before Alexa worked as a Strength and Conditioning coach, she taught preschool gymnastics and cheerleading. She has a passion for teaching children and helping them develop into well rounded members of society. When she is not coaching, Alexa is an avid runner and has completed the 2015 and 2016 Boston Marathon raising a total of $13,598 for charity.

Alexa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and a minor in Nutrition from UMass-Lowell. She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA.


Kaitlyn McHugh

Kaitlyn earned her Sports Medicine degree in the spring of 2014. After interning at Athletic Evolution for two seasons she was hired as a full-time coach.

Kaitlyn has worked with numerous athletes varying in age, sport, and skill level. She has recently taken on the role of Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Evo Volleyball program where she works in group settings, creates programs for the athletes, and acts as the liaison for athletes, parents, and AE.

In May 2014, Kaitlyn attended an Olympic Lifting seminar through Poliquin Group where she was recruited to compete in monthly meets with coach Kim Goss on Team BFS. Following her immersion in Olympic Lifting she got her Level One Sports Performance Certification through USA Weightlifting.

Kaitlyn was instrumental in the creation of Evolution Barbell and is the current Head coach, running both Intro and Advanced classes weekly. In addition to group classes Kaitlyn is available for personal training and individual programming for Olympic Lifting.

Kaitlyn competed in three bodybuilding shows between October and November of 2014 where she placed third or better in Figure and Fitbody. She also works as a Personal Trainer at AE and is available for 30-60min sessions during the week for athletes, adults, and Olympic Lifters. She is also available for Bio Signature Modulation Consultations.

Kaitlyn is currently studying for the CSCS test through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and holds a Bio Signature Modulation Certification through Poliquin Group.


Brandon Kozlowski

Brandon Kozlowski joined AE as a Strength and Conditioning Coach in the fall of 2015 after working as an intern in the fall of 2014, and as a part-time coach through the 2015 summer season. Brandon graduated from Endicott College in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

Brandon enjoys exploring the different aspects of the strength and conditioning field. Brandon first entered into Endicott College as an Athletic Training student, and spent two years with a focus on athletic injury prevention, first aid, and injury rehabilitation. Brandon then changed his focus to the area of strength and conditioning, and finished his career at Endicott majoring in Exercise Science.

In the spring and summer of 2015, Brandon worked as a Parkour and American Ninja Warrior coach to help youth athletes develop strength and total body control. Brandon’s passion is to see each and every individual reach his or her maximum athletic potential. Brandon plans on continuing his education and pursuing a master’s degree in Strength and Conditioning.

Jessica has been a fitness enthusiast as long as she can remember as a former athlete and an avid sports fan. She’s been at AE as a member since the days the doors opened. Last year she decided to further her passion for health, fitness and helping others by becoming a certified instructor. She now coaches in multiple AE adult fitness programs. When not at the gym, Jess works full time as a labor and delivery nurse.

Leslie Stebbins

Leslie came to Athletic Evolution as a participant in 2013 Winter Internship Program. She joined the staff that spring after successfully completing her internship. Prior to AE, Leslie excelled at both basketball and lacrosse in her hometown of Wilton, CT. After high school, she continued her education at Skidmore College where she played lacrosse and studied Exercise Science.

After college she began coaching lacrosse for Team Evo before beginning her internship at AE. Leslie’s involvement in AE extends further into the AE Crossfit community when she became a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer in October of 2013. After coaching at AE for over a year and half, Leslie took over the head coach/manager position at AECrossFit. She enjoys working with our AECrossfit members and strives to compete in the near future.


Dan Reale

Norwich College

Dan came to AE in the Spring of 2012 as an intern with the Athletic Performance Program and joined the staff full-time in the Summer of 2012. Dan has local roots, living in Burlington and graduating from Burlington High in 2006. At Burlington, he excelled at both football and lacrosse, and was captain in both his senior year. After high school Dan went to Norwich University where he played inside linebacker on the Norwich football team. Dan received his Bachelor’s degree from Norwich in the spring of 2011. During his football career there, he was a two time all-academic selection and all-league 1st team member. Dan broadened his training knowledge in the summer of 2012 when he went down to Morristown, New Jersey and got his Crossfit Level 1 Certification. Dan was the AE Crossfit Manager in 2014-2015 before taking over as Manager for Custom Quality Pools. Dan remains a part-time coach at AE Crossfit because of his love for the community here that he helped grow over the past couple years. Professionally, Dan enjoys working with athletes of all levels and ages. Personally, Dan enjoys watching all sports and pushing his body to the limits through grueling late night or early morning workouts. Dan is currently pursuing his CSCS through the National Strength and Conditioning.


Cody Croft

United States Air Force


Cody grew up in Danvers, MA about 30 minutes north of Boston. Cody stayed active in High School playing Football, Hockey, and Running Track. He graduated Danvers High School in 2009 and from there attended college at High Point University for only 1 year. His time at High Point was cut short due to his decision in enlisting in the US Air Force. Cody has been on active duty for 2 years now, and plans on transferring into the Air National Guard to finish his Bachelor’s degree. The Air Force is what introduced Cody to Crossfit. When in his Special Forces training, they provided them with CrossFit workouts. Cody’s first workout was Cindy and he immediately became hooked. Cody discovered AE Crossfit in December of 2012 and has not looked back since. Not long ago, he earned his Crossfit Level 1 Certificate. Cody was recently accepted onto the Danvers Fire Department upon completion of his active duty. Cody loves to stay active and learn new things each day both inside and outside of CrossFit.

Matt Norraik

Matt is originally from Rochester NH and played hockey and baseball growing up.  Following high school he went to Salve Regina University to play hockey where he graduated with a degree in secondary education and history.  Matt received his Crossfit Level 1 certification in July 2014 after developing a passion for Crossfit as a member of AE Crossfit.
